Retail Sales: Being Unique Part II
According to Retail Guru website, they talk about being unique in retail sales.
This is some information from the blog:
“…Jack Mitchell, author of “Hug Your Customers” and “Hug Your People”, starts his morning at 5 o’clock with a cup of coffee and the previous day’s sales report. The clothing retailer lives for data. His company’s “custom-made” software tracks what customers buy, as well as their golf handicaps, where they work, and whether they root for the Yankees or the Red Sox. “The technology,” he says, “has helped us grow the business by getting closer to the customer.”…”

I think that he wants to say that the customers are important to its company we should be able to get close to them not only because of the new technology you offer but because we need their loyalty and support.

This issue is really a big thing. It is illegal to the technology society. They should be able to resolve this immediately to prevent problems and also making this issue happens again in the future.

Google Analytics for the Real World: A Conversation with Sharon Biggar of Path Intelligence

Google Analytics for the Real World: A Conversation with Sharon Biggar of Path Intelligence

According to Joshua Michele Ross, he had interviewed Sharon Biggar about the path intelligence in retail analysis.

This is some clip from the blog:
“…While human observation has been put in the service of retail analysis for a long time, using machine based sensing and computation is different in a few fundamental ways. First, the quantity and efficiency with which data is gathered simply wouldn’t be possible using human observers. Second, the data is based on unbiased observation of people in their habitat and avoids a lot of the errors built into any research that relies on self-disclosure …”

I think Sharon Beggar want us to know that the human observation of a person is important in order to identify the data. It is important for us to know about this for us to know what we will do in our future analysis.
